Sebastian Beca, MA, AMFT

Psychotherapist and Small Group Leader for Psychedelic Sitters School

Sebastian Beca is a hacker gone healer. After working over 15 years in the tech industry and rising from a ‘dark night of the screen’, he transitioned over to becoming a full-time psychotherapist responding to a deeper calling towards nature, healing and reconnection.

Originally from Chile, where he obtained his degree as a psychologist and trained in Gestalt Therapy in the lineage of Claudio Naranjo, he moved to San Francisco in 2014 and graduated with a Master’s in Integral Counseling from the California Institute of Integral Studies in 2018.

Sebastian offers therapy for individuals and couples through an Ecopsychology-Based Therapy practice at the Holos Institute. He works from a humanistic-transpersonal perspective specializing in adults healing trauma, overcoming depression-anxiety and working through life transitions.

In recent years, Sebastian has specialized in psychedelic therapy, training under the mentorship of Daniel McQueen from the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness since 2017. Sebastian works with clients in preparation, guidance and integration of psychedelic journeys and is currently completing his Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research (CPTR) at CIIS as well as the Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAP) training with the Polaris Institute.

Together with his wife Javi they founded Green Magic Yoga in 2019 to bring together the practices of mindfulness, psychedelic healing and yoga. They are both trained by the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness as psychedelic sitters and cannabis guides and have been hosting monthly Conscious Cannabis circles in the Bay Area and online since 2020. Their vision is to expand the healing potential of psychedelic cannabis through education and creating accessible practices geared towards people of color and the Latino community.

Sebastian lives in the Santa Cruz Mountains and in his free time enjoys hiking, mountain biking, hanging out in the woods, listening to trippy music and joining Javi for Ganja Yoga practice.
