Introduction to PSS1 & PSS2

Psychedelic Guide Training, combining PSS1 and PSS2 intensives, is for those who wish to facilitate individual and small group sessions in non-clinical, spiritual, or creative problem solving settings. This course series provides all of the skillsets and logistics training needed to work skillfully and ethically as a Cannabis-Assisted Psychedelic Guide and can be completed in as little as four to six months with credentialing.

PSS 2 – Four Day Training Intensive with Two Day Practicum

Psychedelic Guide Training – PSS 2 – completes the training of PSS 1 and is designed to teach students everything they need to know to facilitate experiences incredibly similar to MDMA and Psilocybin journeys in a professional setting using psychedelic cannabis. Students will learn how to deepen and broaden their client’s process of healing and transformational discovery while simultaneously engaging in personal mindfulness practices that facilitate self transformation and healing.

The PSS 2 intensive is a full, four day professional training program with online lectures and 22 hours of psychedelic therapy experientials. These experientials include two community Conscious Cannabis Circle and 4 one-on-one practice sessions in the practicum.

Psychedelic Guide Training is a prerequisite to be an assistant facilitator, a small group leader in our training program, and PSS3 – Advanced Practices in Psychedelic Therapy.

The program is experientially based. Participants will each be guided on an intentional cannabis session, and will take turns practicing sitting, guiding, and “holding space” for each other. Students will participate in a Conscious Cannabis Circle on Friday and Saturday, as part of their initiation into guidework.

In a special demonstration on Thursday, the lead facilitator will guide students under the influence of psychedelic cannabis to showcase important guide techniques, and each student will have the opportunity to guide and be guided twice in the practicum.

In addition to learning how to step into a professional psychedelic therapy practice, students will learn specific guiding techniques framed within a mindfulness practice called the “Five Awareness Practice.” Within this framework, somatic awareness with acceptance is healing and transformative. Students will also learn internal mindfulness techniques to increase personal spiritual resilience as a guide, and to be able to “imagine with” our clients. “Imagining with” our client is a special technique that provides important information while deepening our client’s process. Students will be provided a framework for understanding the phenomenological experience of deep psychedelic journeywork states and transformational healing.

To continue your journey in becoming a psychedelic guide, we meet Thursday through Sunday for our second training intensive. You’ll experience the transformational power of psychedelic cannabis firsthand in a full, two-day retreat experience, the protocol you’ll learn to facilitate. We provide an ongoing small group process for integration support and skill development, and a series of lectures on mindfulness and psychedelic guiding practices, facilitator logistics, and other skills required for ethical guiding.
